Board of Directors
Consist of a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary and a Chief Financial Officer (Treasurer)
Duties of Board Officers:
- The President shall be principal officer and head of the Corporation, and has, subject to the control of the Board, general supervision, direction and control of the Board, general supervision, direction and control of the business and the officers of the Corporation. The President shall preside at all meetings of the Board.
- The Vice-President shall preside at meetings when the President is not present.
- The Secretary shall give, or cause to be given, notice of all meetings of the Board and shall record or cause to be recorded minutes of all proceedings to be kept for the official records of the Corporation. He/She shall perform such duties as the Board may direct and at the expiration of his/her term shall deliver to the Board of Directors all property and records of the Corporation.
- Duties as described below:
- Attend all General and Executive Board Meetings.
- Record the minutes of the General and Executive Board Meetings, including time, place, people present, type of meeting and topics discussed.
- Provide Board members with copies of the Executive Board Meetings
- Keep a record of attendance at the General Meetings.
- Handle any business correspondence.
- Maintain a file of General and Executive Board Meeting minutes.
- Email the minutes to the members, including the Athletic Director and his secretary for distribution to the coaches.
- Maintain a roster of all members with names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses.
- The Chief Financial Officer (Treasurer) shall keep and maintain adequate and correct accounts of the properties and business transactions of the Corporation. The books of account shall, at all times, be open to inspection by any Director. The Chief Financial Officer shall deposit all monies and other valuables in the name and to the credit of the Corporation. The Chief Financial Officer shall disburse the funds of the Corporation as may be ordered by the Board, shall render to the President and the Directors, whenever they request it, an account of all transactions as Chief Financial Officer and the financial condition of the Corporation, and shall have such powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Board.
